Outdoor gas pipes are not allowed to rest on the ground. Can be damaged. Bury them 12"-18". Or hang them 3.5" above the ground.

Parapet wall tops are a regular problem on historic home roofs in Denver. Mortar caps and flashings are a must to preserve the parapets.
